At Brandywine Bernese, we have been dedicated owners and breeders of magnificent purebred Bernese Mountain Dogs since 1983. The gentle and cheerful Berner makes an excellent companion dog as well as a wonderful family dog. The intelligent Bernese are usually great with children, easy to train and are natural watchdogs. Known in its native Switzerland as the Berner Sennenhund, this breed is a working dog, used for herding cattle, guarding farms and pulling carts. These Swiss mountain dogs are probably descended from Roman mastiffs. Please visit our site to learn more about the Bernese Mountain Dog and whether this is the right pet for you and your family.
