IN MEMORY OF FRANK, 3-29-08.An Email to All from Peggy & SteveHello Everyone, We don't have a happy ending to report but at least we have an ending. Frankie's body was spotted by a very nice couple coming north on the New York Thruway on Saturday, March 29th, basically in the general area where he had been seen last just over 5 weeks ago. They were on their way home and stuck in traffic when they looked over to the side and noticed Frankie's body. They pulled off the thruway and went over and got our information off his collar & tag and called us. They respectfully laid his collar beside his body. Steve and I went out right away after receiving their compassionate telephone call. Steve found Frankie right where the couple told us he was. He spent last night at home, and today we were able to bring him to Snow Mountain where they will treat him with dignity and respect and return his cremated remains to us. Steve and I just want you all to know, that your help, concern, prayers, e-mailing efforts, search time over these past few months - just everything has meant so much to us and we thank you all so very much. Knowing that he is now resting in peace brings our anguish to a bittersweet end and now we are just going to deal with mourning our loss. Time will eventually heal all wounds, it always does. It is so unfortunate that this is how this 8 week ordeal has ended. Our sincerest thanks to all, Peggy & Steve FRANKIE WAS FOUND 3-29-08 DECEASED
HELPFUL HINTS WHEN A DOG IS LOSTSince we try to look for the positive side of things, a lot of wonderful people contacted us while Frank was lost and we learned a lot of new things we never thought of regarding looking for lost dogs. We are going to post them here in Frank's memory and hopefully, they may help someone else locate a missing canine family member. |
