More Bernese Facts:

Bernese are not high energy dogs but are considered a "moderate energy level" breed.  Originating in the Swiss Alps, they are less active in the warmer months and perk up in the fall and winter months.  The first snow fall will often cause your Berner to "dance with joy."

Lucky

Lucky is one of our most delightful males and has sired several beautiful litters.

Ricki (12+ years) Great Great Aunt & Grandmother to Many

Marvy

Noelle at 18 Months

Noelle (Marvy/Mimi Lavelle Pup) at 18 months of age, is a beautiful young female. She is a grand-daughter of Chansey, great-granddaughter of Ricki.

KERRY

Our Kerry is one of the sweetest dogs ever and we really love her.

SUMMER

Summer helps out with the hose - she is a Marvy daughtter out of Sophie Harris, who lives in Clinton, CT.

CASSIDY

Cassidy, 8 months, sitting next to Kris, her human daddy.

Berner Info:

Bernese Mountain Dogs are considered a dry-mouth breed.  They do not drool except in hot weather, and their drool is not the heavy, sticky sort, but more liquid.

Bernese & Other Pets

Sassy & Star Cat
Berners generally get along well with other pets, as Sassy shows by cuddling up with Star cat. Most of our dogs and puppies were raised with our cats. Of course, when bringing a puppy into a home with other animals, it is very important to plan ahead and take the time to do well-supervised "introductions".
